POSITION INFO:

Our client, a major player in the medical distribution industry, is looking for a sharp, solutions-oriented Group Cost Accountant to join their team in Johannesburg North. Duties:

Analyse, manage, and refine costing processes across multiple divisions
Perform product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation
Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and finance to ensure accurate cost capturing
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency
Support budgeting and forecasting with detailed cost analysis

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
- A completed finance or accounting Degree is essential
- CIMA qualification (completed or in progress) is a big plus
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in a cost accounting role, ideally within a distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
- Strong exposure to cost optimization, process mapping, and systems improvement
