Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled and analytical Group Cost Accountant to join their high-performing team based in Johannesburg North. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key part of a fast-paced, results-driven environment where finance and operations work hand-in-hand to create value and improve performance across multiple business units.

Duties:

Develop, monitor, and report on standard costing across multiple sites
Analyse cost drivers, trends, and variances across the group
Prepare and manage detailed budgets and forecasts in collaboration with operations and finance teams
Deliver insightful cost and profitability analysis to support decision-making
Implement and maintain effective cost accounting processes, systems, and controls
Collaborate with operational teams to improve efficiency and support cost-saving initiatives

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Cost Management (essential)
CIMA qualification or studying towards it will be highly advantageous

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in costing, budgets, and financial analysis in a manufacturing or similar operational environment
Strong understanding of standard costing, product costing, and variance analysis
