SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Group Catering Manager to join their team based in Cape Town city

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Outputs:
(But are not limited to)

Manage the Catering Departments to ensure the successful execution of all catering activities
Coordinate catering operations to ensure quality services rendered
Review and finalise sales contracts, catering event orders and pricing agreements with service providers
Ensure that all services meet health and safety and food hygiene standards
Adhere to expense budgets and maintain financial and administrative records
Plan menus and take into account nutritional standards and medical requirements, such as low fat, gluten free, vegetarian, etc.
Plan in detail all work to be done; establish the necessary policies and procedures and state in writing the expected qualitative and quantitative standards for the use of all management resources
Motivate and lead personnel in all the necessary areas of the food service operation
Maintain good public relations between management, staff, customers and patients
The employee is required to perform reasonable duties on request by management even if it falls outside of their scope

Requirements:

Matric
Relevant tertiary qualification in food and beverage services or culinary arts
10 years’ experience in a Managerial position
Strong leadership and motivating skills including the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services
Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
Ability to travel between hospitals
Independent, innovative and team-oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent computer skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Passionate about customer service excellence
Highly motivated, energetic and able to handle pressure
