SUMMARY:
Ground Courier
POSITION INFO:
We’re looking for a reliable, punctual and customer-focused Ground Courier to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting parcels efficiently, accurately and within stipulated timeframes while maintaining excellent communication with the Operations Supervisor and ensuring compliance with delivery procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Sort, verify and prepare cargo for delivery according to the Delivery Run Sheet.

Deliver consignments to the correct recipients within the required service levels.

Complete proof of delivery (POD) documentation accurately and obtain the required signatures.

Communicate regularly with the Operations Supervisor regarding delivery progress, delays and collection issues.

Conduct collections within the stipulated timeframes and ensure all waybills are completed correctly.

Weigh, measure and hand over collected cargo for scanning upon returning to base.

Ensure all parcels are handled safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Maintain accurate records and ensure the delivery vehicle is secured at the end of the shift.
Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

Valid Code 08 driver’s licence and valid Public Driving Permit (PDP).

At least one year of experience in the logistics industry.

Good knowledge of local areas and neighbourhoods in Stellenbosch or George.

Physically capable of lifting, carrying and loading parcels weighing up to 20–25 kg, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Willingness to work shifts, including Saturdays when required.
