PRO GOLF SHOP MANAGER 

SITUATION:  Johannesburg

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and experienced Pro Golf Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy golf retail shop. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for golf, retail excellence, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to members and guests.
• Oversee merchandise purchasing, stock control, pricing, and displays.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Manage tee-time bookings and golf-related administration.
• Supervise, train, and motivate Pro Shop staff.
• Coordinate golf events, competitions, and prize presentations.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with members, visitors, and suppliers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked retail environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience managing a golf pro shop or retail environment.
• Sound knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Computer literacy with point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours.
• Valid driver''s licence – own car advantageous
