Global Sales Consultant

SUMMARY:
My client, based in Techno Park, Stellenbosch, is seeking to employ a Global Sales Consultant who will act as a central global sales hub for the company, driving online and inbound sales conversion through real-time customer engagement across web chat, email, and phone channels.

The role focuses on supporting the full sales cycle—from lead generation and qualification through to conversion while providing expert product guidance and ensuring continuous 24-hour customer coverage across global markets responsible.

POSITION INFO:
Key tasks and outcomes:

• Provide timely and professional customer support via live chat, email, and telephone for the company's web shop and global customers
• Respond to and resolve CRM cases accurately and within agreed service levels
• Convert inbound enquiries into sales opportunities through effective product knowledge and consultative selling
• Conduct product demonstrations to potential and existing customers, both remotely and at live events
• Generate new sales opportunities through proactive lead generation and outreach activities
• Follow up on leads, quotes, and abandoned carts to maximise conversion rates
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the CRM system
• Support direct sales activities including outbound calls and customer engagement campaigns
• Assist with product testing and provide structured feedback where required
• Represent the company professionally at events, demonstrations, and promotional activities
• Ensure consistent achievement of response time targets, lead conversion goals, and customer satisfaction standards
• Work effectively across a global 24-hour shift structure to ensure continuous customer support coverage
• Complete all sales administration tasks accurately and within required timelines

• Previous experience in a sales, customer support, or customer-facing commercial role (preferably within the sports, golf, or technology industry)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the golf industry, including equipment, player development, and coaching environments
• Golf industry experience preferred (PGA qualification or diploma highly advantageous)
• Strong ability to communicate product value in a sales environment, including handling objections and closing opportunities
• Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales/customer records
• Ability to interpret and explain golf swing data and performance metrics (e.g. ball flight data, club data, launch monitor outputs)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach
• Comfortable conducting product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong numerical and analytical ability with attention to detail in data interpretation
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team
• Comfortable working rotational shifts within a 24-hour global support environment
• Willingness to work weekends and travel when required for events or product demonstrations
• Passion for golf, sports technology, and performance analysis is highly beneficial
