Global Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client is a pioneering industry leader with a well-established reputation for excellence and innovation is seeking for an Intercompany Accountant to join their dynamic international finance function. The successful candidate will take ownership of intercompany accounting activities across multiple regions, ensuring accurate reconciliations, timely processing of invoices and payments, and effective management of monthly recharge processes.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong transactional accounting experience who is comfortable working across multiple countries, currencies and international time zones.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of monthly intercompany reconciliations and investigate variances or outstanding differences.
• Identify and process outstanding or missing intercompany invoices.
• Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams across various regions to resolve intercompany-related queries.
• Process intercompany transactions and ensure all accounting entries are accurately recorded.
• Manage the complete monthly global recharge cycle, from preparation through to finalisation.
• Monitor intercompany balances and provide regular status updates to Regional Finance Heads.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure queries are addressed and resolved within agreed timelines.
• Compile payment and settlement information for review and processing by the relevant Finance Managers.
• Ensure intercompany payments are processed in accordance with internal financial controls and policies.
• Review expense accounts and cost centres to ensure transactions are allocated correctly.
• Support month-end close procedures, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements by providing supporting documentation and reconciliations.
• Manage the global corporate credit card process and ensure transactions are accurately captured and processed.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of new supplier information within relevant accounting and banking systems.
• Support VAT submissions and related requirements for international entities.
• Provide general accounting and finance administration as required.
• Escalate outstanding or complex issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Operations teams and act as a finance business partner in resolving transactional matters.
• Organise working schedules effectively to accommodate different international time zones and maintain continuity across supported regions.

• At least 5 years' experience in accounting, with strong exposure to intercompany accounting.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in invoice processing and financial data capturing.
• Proven experience performing intercompany reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Exposure to multi-country and multi-currency accounting environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams.
• Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to analyse and reconcile large volumes of financial data.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international finance teams.

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience working with TMFF and Hubspot Accounting systems.
• Previous exposure to international VAT and sales tax requirements.
• Knowledge of US and/or UK sales tax regulations.
• Experience supporting finance functions within a multinational organisation.
