SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to perform the full financial function, the ideal candidate must have experience working for a large organisation.

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12
Completed a B. Com Accounting Degree or related

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience required as an Accountant
Computer literate – Syspro will be an advantage
Must have a strong personality
Experience within the Wholesale & Retail Industry will be an advantage
Able to work under pressure
Very deadline driven orientated

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting

Responsible for the trial balance, income statement and balance sheet
Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly
Processing and recordkeeping of all adjustment journals, to be approved by Group Financial Manager
Preparation and reporting on monthly management accounts to management
Performing month end and year-end on SYSPRO
Expense provisions management
Monthly VAT calculation, reconciliation, submission and payment
Process monthly journal entries to correct allocations, raise appropriate accruals and provisions and record expenses not processed from the cash book or purchase order systems
