Communication Responsibilities:

Communicating with the customer is often the first responsibility of the Front of house. This includes speaking to them over the phone and in person. The Front of house is the go to person for any of the customer''s needs and questions. Good communication skills are vitally important.

Educate the client: The Front of house also provides all the information that clients’ needs to enjoy their visit. This may include providing information on the facilities available and the services able to be booked. It may also include providing information on travel routes, retail products, schedules, instructors, food and beverage and hospitality

Gather Information: Often, the Front of house has a wide range of promos . The Front of house will hand these out as needed. The Front of house may make recommendations about activities that suit the clients. They will need to have a full understanding of the events to educate the clients. In addition, Front of house often have information to provide clients with class, product or recreational information. They need to be familiar with the surrounding area, as clients will often ask for recommendations and directions.

Handle Sales: The Front of house may handle bookings, sell packages, take credit card or cash, retail product, food and beverage and stock control.
