Front of House

SUMMARY:
A gorgeous, intimate luxury lodge in the Northern Cape is seeking a capable and personable FRONT OF HOUSE to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a varied, guest-facing role suited to someone who enjoys being hands-on across the full lodge experience, from guest relations to daily operational checks. Restaurant and wine service form part of the role, alongside broader front-of-house responsibilities.

Core Criteria:

• Proven front-of-house experience within a lodge or similar hospitality setting (essential)
• Experience with restaurant and wine service (essential)
• WSET certification (advantageous)
• Comfortable managing room checks, stock takes and check-in/check-out procedures
• Strong guest relations skills with the ability to engage warmly with discerning clientele
• Experience assisting with bush events
• Reliable, well-presented and comfortable working in a small-team, remote lodge setting
• Flexible and willing to work hospitality hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

• Conduct thorough room checks and maintain high housekeeping standards
• Carry out regular stock takes across front-of-house areas
• Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
• Build genuine rapport with guests, ensuring a memorable and personalised stay
• Assist in planning and hosting bush events and bush breakfasts
• Provide attentive restaurant and wine service as part of the daily operation
• Support the wider team across all front-of-house functions as needed

• Salary: +-R12,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
• Live-in position, with accommodation and meals on duty included
