POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced Front Office Manager at a 4 start hotel in the Kameeldrift area in Pretoria to supervise and control all Front of House, Front Office areas to the standard operating procedures of the company to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the Front Office Department.

Requirements:

Min 5 years Front Office experience in a 4/5 star hotel
Experience on Starlight PMS (Preferable)
Min 2 years Mid-Level Management experience
Grade 12 (Essential)
Hotel Management Diploma/Degree (Desirable)
Job Related Courses Attended (Desirable)

Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of PMS System
Knowledge of telephone management system
Knowledge of servers and IT systems ( basic)
Extensive knowledge of Hotel front office procedures
Knowledge of guest satisfaction processes and practices
Industrial Relations Knowledge
Knowledge of OHS Act ( basic)
Computer Literacy

Responsibilities (Not limited to / subject to change):

To administer the rates, charges, packages and splits to create accurate folios
To build, maintain and report on guest relations
To produce, revise and enforce Front Office procedures and policies on health & safety procedures and fire-drills and ensure implementation and adherence
To ensure that the Front Office operational Budget is in line and that all budgets are strictly adhered to , that all costs are controlled and expenditures are properly approved
To manage banking, cash-ups, petty cash and floats and perform departmental budget control
To perform stock and procurement control of stationary
To compile shift rosters of the Duty Manager, Front Office Staff, Shuttle Drivers and Porters
To manage and administrate Front Office Staff, Shuttle Drivers and Porters.
To Implement training initiatives and perform disciplinary action in accordance with HR policies
To ensure effective troubleshooting and resolution of relevant IT related matters
