French Speaking Receptionist

SUMMARY:
A luxury safari lodge is seeking a professional and well-presented FRENCH-SPEAKING RECEPTIONIST to join their hospitality team.

POSITION INFO:
This position is based in the Pongola region of KwaZulu Natal. The successful candidate will serve as one of the primary points of contact for guests, ensuring smooth front office operations and delivering exceptional service standards to both international and local visitors. Fluency in French and English is essential due to the lodge’s international guest profile.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist guests upon arrival and departure
• Manage check-ins, check-outs, and reservation administration
• Handle guest queries, requests, and correspondence professionally and efficiently
• Communicate confidently with French- and English-speaking guests
• Coordinate guest activities, transfers, and lodge arrangements
• Maintain accurate guest information and reservation records
• Process payments and assist with invoicing where required
• Support front office administration and daily reception duties
• Work closely with operational departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Uphold the lodge’s standards of hospitality and presentation at all times

• Previous experience in a reception, front office, or guest relations role within hospitality or tourism
• Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities
• Computer literacy and experience with reservation or hospitality systems advantageous
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
