Forklift Driver Pretoria (Up to R14,500)

The Forklift Driver plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by safely transporting seed products and assisting with a range of logistical, administrative and safety-related tasks. This position requires reliability, attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift Operations

• Operate forklifts to load, offload and relocate seed pallets within the warehouse and dispatch zones
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report faults or safety concerns
• Support truck loading for client deliveries and internal transfers

Warehouse Support Tasks

• Manually handle seed bags and assist with sorting, stacking, and staging
• Organise and label stock according to traceability protocols
• Assist with inventory counts and verify batch numbers and quantities
• Maintain cleanliness and biosecurity standards in storage areas

Administrative & Logistical Duties

• Update stock movement logs and assist with basic data entry
• Support dispatch documentation and delivery coordination
• Report damaged goods and assist with packaging integrity checks

Safety & Maintenance

• Inspect warehouse tools and equipment for compliance
• Participate in safety drills and enforce PPE protocols
• Report hazards and assist with minor maintenance tasks

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
• Valid forklift license (F01 or equivalent)
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in warehouse or agricultural logistics
• Exposure to seed handling, traceability systems or compliance protocols is advantageous

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of warehouse safety and handling procedures
• Ability to work in dusty, temperature-variable environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, warehouse systems) preferred
