Key Accountabilities and Outputs

Health, Safety, and Environment

•Adhere to maximum safe pallet stacking heights to ensure warehouse safety.

•Follow site safety standards and participate as a key member of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee.

•Operate forklifts safely and in compliance with the OSH Act, ensuring the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors.

•Support a safe working environment by complying with all relevant legislationand safety protocols.

Effective Stock Quality Management

•Maintain warehouse stock age standards by applying proper stock rotation principles.

•Perform quality checks on packaging on the warehouse floor and prior to loading to ensure compliance with quality standards.

•Ensure pallets are handled with care to prevent damage during loading andoffloading.

Effective Inventory Management

•Participate in the handover process before and after each shift to ensure continuity and accuracy.

•Conduct accurate stock counts as needed and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Maintain clear communication with the Stock Clerk, Warehouse Controller, and Warehouse Supervisor to support efficient operations.

Routine Responsibilities

•Efficiently and accurately load and offload trucks within the standard turnaround times.

•Interpret and act on documentation for the picking and loading of orders.

•Perform basic maintenance of forklifts and ensure all equipment is operated within manufacturer specifications.

•Locate, stack, and pack stock in designated areas, ensuring inventory is organized and accessible.

•Assist with order picking as needed and contribute to site housekeeping by following the 5S philosophy.

•Accurately complete all required documentation and ensure compliance with business policies and procedures.

Adherence to Food Safety Requirements

•Commit to The Beverage Company’s Food Safety policy and objectives.

•Implement all food safety requirements, including adherence to PPE and personal hygiene standards.

•Engage in food safety training and ensure regular hand washing and sanitizing.

•Prevent cross-contamination and report any food safety risks or illnesses to the relevant personnel.

•Support the maintenance of high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in the warehouse.

•Promote and uphold the company’s food safety culture, contributing to the retention of GFSI certification.

Qualifications and Experience

•Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)

•Valid Forklift License (Essential)

•Up to 3 years of experience in FMCG or a similar operational execution role
