JOB DESCRIPTION:

5 star hotel in Camps Bay is looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Host for their restaurants on the property.

Minimum requirements:

Matric
Hospitality qualification / relevant experience
Ability to read, write, and speak English at a professional level
Micros experience (or similar)
Strong Food and beverage knowledge

Main duties and responsibilities:

Provide a friendly, tentative and timely service to create an exceptional experience
Assist in the day-to-day management of waiters and runners
Act as a guest personal host during their time at the hotel/restaurant
Check with guests if they are enjoying their meals and take corrective action if there are any problems
Restaurant bookings
Recognise and treat regulars as VIP's
Upselling
Maintain databases
Event co-ordination and service
Excellent product knowledge
On the job training
Act as a manager when the manager is off duty
