What We Are Looking For

We are searching for someone who brings warmth, professionalism and a genuine love for people. The ideal Host will have:

• A valid South African ID or work permit
• A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
• At least 2 years recent experience in a hotel or upmarket restaurant as a host
• A welcoming personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in handling enquiries and reservations while keeping things running smoothly
• A professional appearance, reliability and punctuality
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• A team spirit and a passion for making every guest feel truly special

What You Will Do

• Welcome and seat guests with warmth and confidence, ensuring smooth table rotation
• Manage reservations and coordinate seating plans to keep service flowing
• Provide menus, introduce specials and support the waitron team where needed
• Handle guest queries, requests and feedback with care and professionalism
• Maintain a polished host stand and uphold presentation standards in the dining area
• Assist colleagues during busy periods to ensure seamless service
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and hotel service standards
