POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a
dynamic, target-driven and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join their team in
Queenstown.
The successful candidate will be responsible for
developing new business, growing sales and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers across the food services market.
This is a
field-based sales position requiring a candidate who is comfortable with
extensive travel throughout Queenstown and surrounding areas to visit customers, develop new business and grow the client base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food services market.
- Grow and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits and build long-term relationships.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Promote and sell the company's product range.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer spend and product penetration.
- Develop and maintain a strong customer base within the allocated territory.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer queries professionally.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations where required.
- Travel extensively throughout the territory to meet with customers and develop new business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Proven sales experience, preferably within the food services, hospitality, catering or related industry.
- Previous experience dealing with business customers and/or food service clients.
- Strong new business development and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Computer literate, including MS Office.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Own reliable vehicle – essential.
- Willing and able to travel extensively.
- Comfortable working independently within a large geographical territory.
ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE
