SUMMARY:

An established distributor of fresh produce is seeking the above to coordinate and manage all activities within the Food Safety and Agronomy Services business from introducing services to new farmers to conducting audits, and to assist with supplier management, data capturing for compliance, data analysis and audit schedules, with the aim the ensure the required policies, procedures and standards are met within the Agricultural value added chain.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have completed a National Senior Certificate
A qualification in Agriculture or Food Science is beneficial
Experience in a Food Safety system with Good Agricultural Practices would be ideal
Knowledge and experience in Global GAP, SIZA, BRC etc. would be an added advantage
Must have exceptional Computer literacy (Office, Excel, Teams etc.)
Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to farms

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Assessing and documenting the required policies and procedures to ensure that standards are met on a continuous basis.
Coordinating and assisting with internal audits.
Managing audit schedules and requirements for clients.
Managing communication between stakeholders.
Capturing data from clients and laboratories.
Building, tracking and communicating audit systems and influence decisions/priorities.
Communicating actionable feedback to the Product/Services teams and stakeholders.
Supporting ongoing and targeted improvement of compliance and monitoring services.
Providing administrative assistance.
Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
Writing and distributing email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
Ordering office supplies and researching new deals and suppliers.
Acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of Good Manufacturing Practices for Food Safety, including HACCP, GLOBALGAP and Health and Safety standards.
Understanding and managing packhouse information and updating tracking systems.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
