SUMMARY:
Experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance professional to manage and maintain food safety and quality systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards, managing audits, overseeing laboratory testing and driving continuous improvement across the operation

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Implement, maintain and continuously improve Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
Develop, review and maintain SOPs, policies, procedures and quality documentation.
Manage and prepare the business for external audits and ensure audit readiness.
Maintain and manage HACCP systems and principles.
Manage compliance with FSSC 22000, including experience with Intertek requirements.
Conduct internal audits, inspections and risk assessments.
Oversee laboratory testing, sample analysis and quality verification.
Investigate quality and food safety issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Monitor compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Provide food safety and quality training to employees.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across food safety and quality processes.
Ensure quality and food safety policies and procedures are consistently implemented and followed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

Minimum 8 years'' hands-on experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry.
Proven experience in HACCP implementation and management.
Direct experience with FSSC 22000 is essential.
Intertek audit/certification experience will be highly advantageous/essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety management systems.
Experience with laboratory testing and quality analysis.
Proven experience developing and implementing quality policies, procedures and protocols.
Strong audit, compliance and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and leadership abilities.
Valid driver''s licence and own reliable vehicle – non-negotiable.
