Food & Beverage Manager

Our client based in the Winelands region has an exciting full-time position available for a dynamic individual, who will form part of their Restaurant team.

The responsibilities of the job incumbent include:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manage F&B day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
• Dealing with any issues that might come up during daily service operations
• Adhere to all H&S regulations
• Liaise with the Executive Chef & Events Coordinator in scheduling events
• Maintain revenue and payroll budgets
• Oversee staff to ensure a smooth operation
• Monitor quality of service in the F&B department
• Actively involved in hiring and performance management of F&B employees
• Constantly monitor staff performance, reward or take disciplinary actions based on performance
• Drive high levels of guest satisfaction
• Liaise with kitchen to improve service and product efficiency.

 
REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ applicable experience in F&B related field and at the management level
• Good interpersonal skills & telephone etiquette
• Self-driven and dynamic
• Must be able to handle work-related pressure
• Computer literacy (good working knowledge of MS Word & Excel)
• Knowledge of Jonas Point of Sale system (advantageous)
• Detail orientated and systematic
• Excellent communication (English and Afrikaans) and interpersonal skills
• Neat and presentable appearance
• Inspirational leadership ability
• An innovative approach to driving the business forward
• Business awareness, being able to drive and plan business improvement.

SALARY

R35 000 – R40 000
