Food & Bev Manager/Chef

SUMMARY:
Job Title: Head Chef/Food & Bev Manager
Working Hours: 5 days per week including Saturday and Sunday, during the day only.  Evening work for functions may be required from time to time.
MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENCE AND OWN VEHICLE
 
Overview:
We are seeking a professional and dedicated Head Chef and Food and Beverage Manger to oversee the kitchen operations in a club/breakfast/lunch environment.   
This role involves preparing and serving high-quality, classic  cafe-style meals and snacks t guests.
The successful candidate will maintain high standards of food hygiene, presentation, and customer satisfaction while working within a structured daytime schedule.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare, and execute breakfast and lunch menus 
2. Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and timely service.
3. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards.
4. Manage Food and Beverage inventory, order supplies, and control costs.
5. Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
6. Supervise and support kitchen and bar staff as needed.
7. Manage front-of-house staff for smooth service coordination.
8. Suggest menu improvements or seasonal specials in collaboration with management.

1. Culinary qualification or professional chef certification preferred.
2. Knowledge of traditional and modern food preparation techniques.
3. Strong understanding of Food and Beverage Management, food safety, stock control, and kitchen management.
4. Ability to manage a team and remain calm under pressure.
5. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
6. Friendly, approachable demeanor with a customer-focused attitude.
