SUMMARY:
Our client in the Cold Storage solutions sector, has an opportunity available for a Floor Supervisor in the City Deep, Johannesburg area. This will be a temp position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements

Matric/Grade 12
Minimum 12 months experience in similar role
Good understanding of modern warehousing and complete understanding of accurate inventory keeping
Valid driver's license
Forklift driver certification
Bendi license
Strong IT acumen
A thorough understanding of warehousing, layout, flow and interest in facilities/machine management

Responsibilities:

Dispatching and receiving of shipments
Orderly stacking of products and the picking and stacking of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity
Participates in the unloading, wrapping, and stacking of all inbound consignments
Reports all shortages or excess goods
Ensures that all relevant check lists are up to date and any problems reported and followed up
Ensures the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area, inclusive of outside loading bays, yard, waste and skip area, airlock, battery bay and surrounds as well as own office environment and workstations
Matches the skills and background of the personnel to the work required
Completes all necessary records such as shift meeting preparations, own CSA (control self-audits), truck pallet offload statistics, own housekeeping audits, where necessary checking in and or load sheets, etc, on time and all the time
Inventory
Prepares and attends morning and evening start of shift meetings
Warehouse checks and balances
