Floor Manager

SUMMARY:
A well-known restaurant in Alberton, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced and guest-focused FLOOR MANAGER to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a hands-on leadership role for a confident, professional hospitality individual who leads by example on the floor, maintains consistently high service standards, and takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Afrikaans language proficiency is essential for this role.

Core Criteria:

• Proven experience in a Floor Manager or senior FOH supervisory role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, written and spoken, essential
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and dining operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a front-of-house team
• Strong guest relations skills with a warm, professional, and solutions-driven approach
• Good understanding of stock control, cost management, and responsible alcohol service
• Computer literate with working knowledge of POS systems
• Flexible and willing to work hospitality hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Well-presented and professional in manner at all times

• Oversee daily floor operations across all service periods to a consistently high standard
• Lead, supervise, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service throughout every service period
• Ensure consistently warm, professional, and personalised guest experiences at all times
• Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Conduct pre-service briefings and ensure the team is fully prepared and briefed before each service
• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and seamless service delivery
• Monitor stock, manage requisitions, and support effective cost control
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards across all restaurant and service areas
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations at all times
• Assist with staff scheduling, attendance tracking, and performance management
