Location: Anderbolt, Boksburg

Salary: From R25K to R40K based on qualifications, skills & experience

The Opportunity

You will use your technical skills to keep a top-tier fleet running smoothly. The workshop team provides excellent daily support, quality tools, and ongoing technical learning. Your hands-on mechanical work will directly improve fleet safety and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Carry out scheduled maintenance, oil services, and minor repairs on heavy commercial trucks.

Overhaul diesel engines, gearboxes, differentials, and drivetrain components to manufacturer specifications.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and air brake system faults using modern diagnostic tools.

Inspect trucks and trailers thoroughly to ensure they meet all roadworthy safety standards.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip technical vehicle safety checks on all active fleet units.

Attend to emergency roadside breakdowns to keep transport deliveries moving on schedule.

Complete accurate workshop job cards and record all replacement parts used during repairs.

What You Need to Apply

Red Seal Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate (Section 13 or Section 26D).

Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s license with a valid PrDP.

At least 3 to 5 years of post-trade heavy commercial vehicle maintenance experience.

Hands-on experience in rebuilding heavy truck diesel engines, gearboxes, and air brake systems.

Strong diagnostic fault-finding skills on modern heavy transport trucks and trailers.

A positive, hardworking attitude with strong dedication to workplace safety and team goals.

A reliable team player who is eager to learn and solve problems quickly.
