Fitter & Turner/Maintenance Tradesman - Bloemfontein

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Artisan to join our manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent – NQF Level 4
• Code 8 Drivers License and own transport
• Minimum 5 years'''' post-trade experience
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with automated machinery and equipment
• Food manufacturing experience will be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions
• Strong commitment to OHS, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards
• Must be medically fit for the position as determined by an Occupational Medical Practitioner
• Willingness to work standby/after-hours when required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electromechanical faults.
• Conduct machinery inspections and fault finding.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade plant equipment.
• Complete maintenance job cards and documentation.
• Support and guide maintenance assistants.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and food-safe working environment.
