SUMMARY:
We are recruiting 3 Fitter & Turner candidates for an artisan development programme, offering hands-on training and practical experience in a manufacturing environment. The opportunity is suited to newly qualified artisans or final-year Fitter & Turner candidates looking to develop their technical skills and gain workplace experience.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Participate in practical training and workplace-based artisan development.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, repair and adjustment of mechanical equipment.
Gain hands-on exposure to industrial machinery and manufacturing processes.
Apply Fitter & Turner principles and technical knowledge in a practical environment.
Assist qualified artisans with maintenance and mechanical activities.
Identify and report equipment faults and potential mechanical issues.
Follow maintenance procedures, work instructions and technical specifications.
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for.
Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, procedures and company policies.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop and take on increased technical responsibility.
Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Requrements

Fitter & Turner qualification or currently in the final year of qualifying as a Fitter & Turner.
Newly qualified artisans are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance, fitting and machining principles.
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
Willingness to gain hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.
Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
Strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to learning.
Ability to work effectively as part of a technical team.
Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
Stipend provided as part of the learnership/artisan development programme.
