POSITION INFO:

Our client is a professional organisation providing skills development for the agriculture sector for over 10 years. They are looking for a Fire Armed Security Guards to be based in Kempton Park.

Armed security guards are highly trained professionals deployed in high-risk scenarios, such as guarding valuable assets, VIP protection, or patrolling, requiring specialized legal certification to carry firearms. They provide immediate tactical responses to security threats, often serving as a, powerful, visible deterrent to criminals. Key requirements typically include valid PSIRA registration, firearm competency certificates, and rigorous background checks. 

Core Responsibilities and Duties

• Immediate Response: Providing swift action to neutralize or contain threats until law enforcement arrives.
• Asset & Personnel Protection: Escorting high-value goods, cash, and safeguarding individuals in high-risk environments.
• Patrol and Surveillance: Conducting regular, visible patrols to deter criminal activity, monitoring premises, and controlling access for people and vehicles.
• Reporting: Submitting detailed reports on daily surveillance,, security incidents, and, suspicious behavior.  

Requirements and Qualifications

• Licensing (South Africa): Active PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registration is mandatory.
• Firearm Competency: Valid firearm competency certificates and, permits for business purposes.
• Training: Specialized training in tactical response, conflict resolution, and first aid.
• Background: No criminal record and, usually, at least 3-5 years of security guard experience with fire arm, security or armed response
