SUMMARY:
A reputable packaging company is looking to hire a Finished Goods Unit Manager in their Cape Town branch. The candidate will be expected to ensure customers receive their orders on time, in full and in required condition by managing and owning goods, processes and systems postproduction. Managing the warehouse, warehouse teams to support production to be as efficient as possible. Ensure all internal movements of goods and storage are done to a world class standard Manage FG warehouse, WIP and sheet board line as well as waste production and Personnel.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Safety:

Set implement and control food safety standard in area of responsibility
See to 100% adherence to PPE standard.
See to adherence to PRP for food safety within the FG environment

People Management:

Ensure teams’ performance targets are executed.
Ensure each team member has the input tools required to successfully execute their tasks. Forklift tags, RF users, warehouse layouts and various tools as required
Driving team performance, fostering employee growth, and ensuring strategic goals are met.

Waste Management:

Control, Monitor and improve WIP waste. Control and drive down left behinds in the environment.
Control, monitor and improve on FG warehouse waste
Identify potential left behinds through the Prestage program and solve on shift

Operations management of the FG warehouse:

Ensure the warehouse layout is up to date and adhered to. Regulated location above 99.6%
Ensure Default locations are managed and maintained under 2 rows on the E1 and FG pivot
Ensure fast moving locations integrity is kept to a 99% standard.
Ensure warehouse is stacked according to the forklift code of conduct
Prestage Process is maintained and improved

Waste production management:

Manage the waste team to be effective in waste processing
Ensure the waste team abides by the rules and regulations of the waste process
Ensure all processes has standards that are visually displayed, measured and reviewed
Oversee the ATM for the waste equipment to be done on regular basis to ensure

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

National Diploma in Supply chain or related (NQF Level 6)
3 Years experience in a warehouse environment and or 5 Years in production management
Knowledge of ERP systems, and stock controlling
