My client, an Accounting and Auditing firm in the Southern Suburbs, know for their high level of professionalism and client service excellence, is looking to employ a Financial Statement Compiler to join them.

What you will be doing:

Compile annual financial statements in line with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
Ensure compliance with relevant Companies Act disclosure requirements
Prepare working paper files supporting financial statement disclosures
Liaise with audit teams on adjustments and presentation
Apply correct accounting treatment to complex transactions (leases, financial instruments, fair value adjustments)
Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and frameworks
Work with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs

What we are looking for:

BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
Completed SAICA articles advantageous
2-3 years' experience compiling financial statements
Proficiency in CaseWare Working Papers essential
Strong knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and Companies Act disclosure requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and organisational skills
