Financial Planner - Newlands, Cape Town - R25 000 - R30 000

About Our Client Our client is an Independent Financial Advisory specialising in local and offshore investments and financial planning. They support a culture of teamwork, continuous learning and personal development. They are looking for a financial planning professional to join their team of Financial Planners.

The Role: Financial Planner The purpose of the role is to onboard and service investment clients with different investment vehicles, working as part of a professional team. The role is for a financial professional with 3-5 years working experience in the area of financial planning and investment advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply 3-5 years of working experience in financial planning and investment advice to onboard and service clients.

• Work as part of a professional team in the office in Newlands from 8:30 - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

• Meet with prospective clients virtually via Zoom/Teams or in person at the offices.

• Follow an established onboarding process to bring on new clients.

• Advise existing and prospective clients on their investment portfolios and offshore investing.

• Assist clients with tax planning, estate planning and wills.

• Prepare and conduct investment reviews for clients.

• Monitor FICA compliance and keep records of new and existing clients.

About You

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of working experience as a financial planner, including experience in onboarding and servicing investment clients with different investment vehicles.

• Must have a CFP qualification.

• Must have passed the RE5 regulatory exam.

• Fluent in speech and writing in Afrikaans and English.

• Hold a relevant degree, with Bcom/BusSci/Hons preferable.

• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside the ability to manage time effectively.

• Have an aptitude for continued learning.
