This isn’t just about balancing books…it’s about keeping the entire financial supply chain moving.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a major wholesale and distribution giant based in Johannesburg East, operating in a high-volume, stock-heavy environment where precision, pace and process are everything.
They’re looking for a hands-on Financial Manager to support the CFO and keep the operational finance engine running smoothly, from stock and suppliers to payroll and banking.

Key Responsibilities:

Keep stock and inventory controls tight, accurate and financially sound
Manage creditors, debtors support, reconciliations and journals
Oversee the full payroll function for approximately 50 staff
Manage banking processes, payments and cash flow support
Ensure month-end processes are completed accurately and on time
Strengthen controls, improve efficiencies and support day-to-day finance operations
Act as a trusted finance support partner to the CFO

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years’ experience in a similar finance role
Must come from a stock / inventory-heavy industry (wholesale, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing, etc.)
Experience with Sage and/or MS Dynamics 365 preferred
Strong understanding of stock, creditors, payroll and operational finance
Excellent reconciliation and journal processing skills
Hands-on, detail-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
