Financial Accountant (Immediately Available)

SUMMARY:
A dynamic FinTech company with a strong UK presence and operations in Cape Town is urgently looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join their team. This is a crucial role, requiring someone who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to the company’s finance function. The ideal candidate will hold a BCom degree and have 3-4 years of solid financial accounting experience, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Advanced Excel skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment. POSITION INFO:

As the Financial Accountant, your duties and responsibilities include the following:
Manage daily financial transactions, including AP and AR
Prepare, review, and process supplier invoices
Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger entries, and intercompany transactions
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management
Ensure accuracy and compliance
Maintain organized financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets
Monitor cash flow and support the Finance Manager in managing working capital
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements
 
Skills & Experience:
Immediately available would be highly advantageous
Excellent communication skills
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Foreign currency experience would be beneficial

Qualification:
Completed Finance or Accounting degree/diploma
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
