About the Role

As a Financial Manager / Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing or supporting the full finance function, including financial planning, reporting, compliance, cash flow management, and financial controls.

You will work closely with executive management and play a key role in supporting business performance, financial accuracy, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A Jobs South Africa)

• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial plans
• Monitor performance against budgets and provide insights
• Develop financial models and support business decision-making

• Manage or assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Prepare management accounts and financial statements (IFRS/GAAP)
• Ensure compliance with SARS, VAT, PAYE, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act
• Support audits and regulatory reporting

• Assist with or manage cash flow planning and forecasting
• Support banking activities and working capital management
• Ensure financial stability and liquidity

• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance
• Identify risks and assist with mitigation strategies
• Support insurance, audit, and compliance processes

• Oversee or support bookkeeping, tax, and accounts payable/receivable
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and accounting systems
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies

• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
• Assist in evaluating projects, pricing, and profitability
• Support strategic and operational decisions

• For senior candidates: lead and mentor the finance team
• For growth candidates: work closely with leadership and develop management capability

• BCom Accounting / Finance or equivalent
• Professional qualification (SAICA, CIMA, SAIPA) – advantageous
• 5–10 years’ experience in accounting or financial management
• Experience in industrial property or commercial property management (advantageous)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation, and financial controls
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Xero)

• Strong financial reporting and analytical ability
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
