SUMMARY:
Join a well-established and fast-paced organisation operating in a high-volume environment. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, working to deadlines, and taking ownership of core accounting functions. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and support the finance team across financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and month-end processes.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules
Compile and review monthly reconciliations, including VAT and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare annual financial statements and support year-end audit processes
Assist with month-end reporting and management accounting requirements
Process journals and ensure the integrity of financial information
Maintain compliance with statutory and tax requirements
Work closely with operational and finance teams to resolve accounting queries
Support the Finance Manager with reporting, analysis, and ad hoc finance projects
Ensure deadlines are met in a high-volume and deadline-driven environment

Skills & Experience:

Practical experience preparing Annual Financial Statements
Strong VAT knowledge and reconciliation experience
CaseWare experience is essential
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Resilient personality with a proactive approach to work
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working independently and taking accountability for deliverables

Qualification:

BCom Accounting or related finance qualification
Completed Articles is essential
CaseWare experience essential
