An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a reputable and growing organisation based in Umbilo, Durban. We are seeking a driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take on increased responsibility within a collaborative and high-performing team.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
Oversee general ledger reconciliations and financial controls
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Support external audits and liaise with auditors
Supervise and mentor junior finance team members
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function

Job Experience and Skills Required

B.Com Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Articles advantageous (SAICA/SAIPA)
5+ years of accounting experience
Minimum 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficient in MS Excel and financial/accounting systems
Strong communication and leadership abilities
