POSITION INFO:
Our client is a well-established FMCG business with a strong market presence, dynamic operations and an exciting growth trajectory. Known for its fast-paced and commercially driven environment, the business continues to evolve and is looking for a Financial Accountant who can keep up with the pace while bringing a strong technical foundation and a proactive approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, energetic and hands-on Financial Accountant who enjoys variety and wants exposure across a broad accounting function.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring the integrity of the financial information while partnering with the wider finance team and business to keep things moving. The role offers the opportunity to build on your technical accounting skills while gaining greater exposure to reporting, controls, compliance and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and insightful monthly management and financial reporting packs
Manage the full fixed asset cycle, including additions, disposals, depreciation and reconciliations
Assist with VAT, tax reporting and statutory compliance
Prepare and review journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Drive an accurate and efficient month-end close process
Investigate variances and provide meaningful commentary on financial results

Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom qualification within a related field
Approximately 3+ years' experience in financial accounting
FMCG experience beneficial
