A global and well-established marketing agency seeks an innovative, driven and hands-on Accountant to join their team based in Johannesburg North.

In this role, your main responsibility will be to take ownership of the financial department by managing daily finance functions. You will report to the Financial Director and act as right hand and second in charge.

The role will entail the full finance function and the client seeks an experienced Accountant who wants to get hands-on, add vaue in their role, as well assist in all aspects of finance operations.

Duties include but not limited to:

Purchase order and invoice processing

Supplier statement reconciliations

Communication with suppliers on invoicing and payments, and preparation of payments

Consolidation of global weekly payments

Banking and bank accounts reconciliations

Assistance with month-end procedures

PAYE and VAT calculations

Calculation of commission payable

Preparation of management accounts packs for board review

Involvement in year-end audit

Education:

BCom in Accounting or equivalent

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles is a non-negotiable

2 to 3 years'' experience in a Financial Accountant role post-articles is a non-negotiable

Africa / foreign exposure is a non-negotiable

MS Dynamics experience will be highly beneficial

Advanced MS Excel skills

Sound knowledge and understanding of related financial legislation and processes

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player
