SUMMARY:
DBN000189 – Finance & Budget Officer - Pietermaritzburg

Purpose of the job:
To support the company by keeping its finances accurate, organised, and up to date, while helping projects stay on track with their budgets and reporting requirements.

Required qualifications and experience:

Relevant 3-year diploma/degree or currently completing one.
3–4 years experience in a finance or accounting environment.
Strong computer literacy and solid numerical ability.
Able to work both independently and within a team.
Comfortable meeting tight deadlines and handling pressure.
Own reliable transport.
Knowledge of Sage 300 (Accpac) is an advantage.

POSITION INFO:
Technical tasks competencies & experiences:

Preparing, reviewing, and interpreting monthly financial reports and budgets.
Monitoring and maintaining multiple project budgets.
Accurately recording and allocating income and expenditure.
Performing journal entries and completing reconciliations.
Applying financial and procurement policies correctly.
Producing reliable financial forecasts that align with project plans.
Assisting with audit preparation and audit-related processes.
