Field Technician

SUMMARY:
A reputable technical services company based in Johannesburg East is seeking a skilled and reliable Field Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at client premises, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and technical excellence.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and maintain equipment at client sites
• Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and mechanical systems
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
• Provide technical support and training to clients where required
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant technical qualification (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field)
• Trade Test qualification advantageous
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a field service or similar technical role
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license (essential)
• Willingness to travel locally and work after hours when required
