Field Support Technician (Field-Based)

SUMMARY:
Field Support Technician ! Join our dynamic support team. This role is ideal for a technically strong, solution-driven professional who thrives in a live network support environment and enjoys working directly with clients on-site.

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide on-site troubleshooting and fault resolution for network and connectivity issues
• Diagnose and resolve fibre and Cat6 infrastructure faults
• Perform router configuration and basic network adjustments
• Support installations and infrastructure upgrades
• Liaise with NOC for escalations and coordinated fault resolution
• Conduct network testing and diagnostics
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of field work
• Participate in standby rotation for after-hours support

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• N+ Networking certification
• Proven experience in a Field Technician / ISP / Networking Support role
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, wireless, TCP/IP)
• Experience working in a live support environment
• Valid driver’s licence (non-negotiable)
• Willingness to travel to client sites
