SUMMARY:
New role is available for a Field Service Technician for our client in the Engineering Industry, based in Midrand JHB.

POSITION INFO:
We’re looking for a skilled and self-motivated Field Service Technician. In this role, you’ll provide technical support to clients, perform repairs, and commission equipment. You will also play a key part in ensuring compliance, maintaining records, and supporting both internal teams and customers on-site and remotely.

Duties:

Report to client in writing and record keeping of repairs and returns
Prepare, submit and record keeping of warranty claims
Telephonic and on-site support for customers
Internal sales technical support
Maintain ISO requirements
Commissioning of equipment
Problem evaluation on specific applications where equipment is used
Attend to breakdowns
Ability to travel away from home, after hours, and cross border support
Assist with spare stock control and warehousing
Assist with customer quotes when required
Adhoc duties as required by Manager

Requirements:

Qualified Electrician or Technician with an N3 Certificate or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Practical experience in Control Systems, with exposure to Electronics and/or Pneumatics
Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in Control Systems
Valid Driver’s License required

Contract to permanent
