SUMMARY:
A family-run Big Five safari lodge in the Zululand region of KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a committed and reliable FIELD GUIDE to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who genuinely loves life in the bush and is happy to pitch in beyond the game drive seat. The lodge's guides also form part of the maintenance team, so a practical, all-rounder mindset goes a long way here.

Core Criteria:

• Valid PDP and driver's license essential
• Minimum FGASA Level 1 qualification
• Valid First Aid Level 1 certification
• DEAT registration required
• Minimum 1 year's guiding experience preferred
• Some maintenance experience beneficial
• Reliable, hands-on, and comfortable working as part of a small team

• Conduct game drives and interpret the reserve's wildlife and ecology for guests
• Ensure guest safety and deliver an engaging, informative experience on every outing
• Maintain guiding vehicles and equipment to a high standard
• Assist with general lodge maintenance as part of the wider team
• Uphold professional standards of guiding, communication, and guest interaction

• Salary: R9,500 negotiable, depending on experience
• Live-in position
