SUMMARY:
A luxury Big 5 lodge in Makhanda, Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced Field Guide to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting professional game drives and providing knowledgeable, engaging and safe guest experiences.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS:
- FGASA qualification
- Valid PDP
- Valid First Aid certification
- Relevant field guiding experience
- Strong knowledge of South African wildlife, fauna, flora and conservation
- Good communication and guest relations skills
- Big 5 guiding experience
- Indian, Xhosa or Portuguese-speaking candidates will take preference

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct morning and afternoon game drives
- Conduct Big 5 wildlife viewing and interpretation
- Provide guests with accurate information on wildlife, fauna, flora and conservation
- Ensure guest safety during all guided activities
- Maintain professional guest relations throughout the guest experience
- Conduct bush walks where appropriately qualified
- Assist with vehicle and guiding equipment checks
- Complete daily vehicle and guiding-related duties
- Maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism while guiding
