SUMMARY:
A tranquil, guest-focused lodge set within a private reserve is seeking a dedicated 𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘 to join their close-knit team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a hands-on role for a guide who thrives on both guest-facing hosting duties and the practical realities of reserve life, including confident 4x4 navigation on challenging terrain.

Core Criteria:

• FGASA Level 1 (NQF 2) qualification minimum
• Current DEAT registration
• Current First Aid Level 1 (minimum)
• Valid driver's licence with valid PDP
• 4x4 driving experience essential, given the reserve's demanding road conditions
• Comfortable hosting guests solo across extended stretches when FOH is off duty
• Willing and able to assist with general lodge maintenance when needed

• Conduct two game drives daily
• Manage guest check-in and check-out
• Assist with porting guest luggage to rooms
• Host guests across food and beverage service for 6–7 days while FOH is off duty
• Work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off duty cycle
• Support general lodge maintenance as required

• Salary: R7,000 – R8,500 per month, dependent on experience
• Tips earned from guests
• Live-in position: private flatlet with en-suite bathroom, open-plan lounge, and kitchenette (furnished with couch, table, gas stove, microwave, kettle, and cookware)
• Basic groceries provided for self-catering, plus all meals while on duty
• Water, electricity, and WiFi included
• Shared laundry facilities with washing machine and tumble dryer
• Uniform supplied
