We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Field Guide to join an exceptional safari environment where every guest interaction is an opportunity to create unforgettable memories.

This role is about more than guiding game drives — it is about connecting guests with the wilderness, sharing the stories of the landscape, and delivering authentic safari experiences. The ideal candidate is a confident naturalist with a deep respect for the environment, excellent people skills, and the ability to bring the bush to life.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging and informative game drives and bush walks, ensuring exceptional guest experiences
• Share knowledge of wildlife, ecology, conservation, and the surrounding environment
• Interpret animal behaviour and the natural landscape in a way that inspires curiosity and connection
• Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout all safari activities
• Build meaningful relationships with guests through warm hospitality and genuine storytelling
• Assist with guest arrivals, departures, and general camp activities when required
• Maintain a high standard of guiding professionalism and attention to detail
• Conduct vehicle checks and ensure all guiding equipment is maintained and ready for use
• Contribute to conservation initiatives and the ongoing protection of the wilderness area
• Work closely with the lodge team to create seamless and memorable guest experiences

• FGASA NQF2 minimum
• Valid PDP and appropriate guiding certifications
• Strong knowledge of local fauna, flora, ecology, and conservation practices
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
• A genuine passion for wildlife and the natural environment
• Guest-focused with a warm, engaging personality
• Ability to confidently host international guests from diverse backgrounds
• Strong attention to safety and responsible guiding practices
• Professional presentation and a willingness to go above and beyond for guests
• Adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote safari
