A beautifully intimate Lodge is looking for a FIELD GUIDE

POSITION INFO:
This intimate Lodge, located on one of South Africa's most pristine Big Five game reserves, consists of 8 intimate luxury suites. If you have a love for wildlife, conservation, and storytelling, this may be the role for you.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Field Guide in a Big 5 Game Reserve
A valid RSA ID is required
A valid driver’s licence with PrDP is required
Relevant FGASA qualifications required. Minimum of NQF 1
A proven track record within a luxury hotel/lodge environment
Self-disciplined, punctual and respectful.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for international guests with diverse cultures. Must have an outgoing hosting personality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for staff, being respectful of their culture. A basic knowledge of Tswana or another African language is recommended.
Must be familiar with basic vehicle maintenance in order to communicate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot problems
Must be familiar with how to drive in a variety of on- and off-road conditions.
Must be familiar with radio etiquette and able to ensure that radio conversations are kept short and direct, with no unnecessary chatter.
Good initiative to cope with difficult situations in a remote environment.
A valid first aid training certificate.
21 days on 7 days off work cycle

Live-in. Uniform & meals will be provided. (Pets will not be allowed due to the nature of the environment.)

Salary ranges from R8500 to R10500. 5% provident fund is available (compulsory)
