Factory Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you a technically minded Factory Manager with hands-on experience in filling, capping, and labelling operations? Join a fast-paced production facility where your ability to lead teams, manage production schedules, and maintain equipment performance will be key to ensuring smooth daily operations and high product quality.

POSITION INFO:

Plan and coordinate production schedules based on order forecasts, stock levels, and promotional activity
Oversee day-to-day operations of filling, capping, and labelling machinery
Ensure accurate batch coding, expiry dating, and barcoding of all products
Conduct regular floor inspections to ensure workflow and operational standards are maintained
Manage breakdowns and maintenance—either personally or by outsourcing and coordinating service providers
Lead and manage admin/support staff
Enforce company policies and assist with disciplinary actions and hearings where required
Coordinate local and third-party distribution of finished goods
Monitor raw material levels and manage procurement of critical packaging components and ingredients
Work with external warehousing and logistics partners to ensure timely and complete deliveries
Oversee monthly stock counts and reporting

Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in managing production within a filling, capping, and packaging environment
Technical knowledge of production line machinery including volumetric fillers and labellers
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs
Excellent planning and coordination capabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production tracking tools
Strong numerical ability for production calculations and forecasting
Effective leadership and team management experience
Ability to manage staff performance and conduct disciplinary processes when needed
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Qualifications
National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related discipline (preferred)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a factory or production management role
Valid driver’s license
