Factory Accountant

POSITION INFO:

As the Factory Accountant, you will partner with production, supply chain, and plant management teams to monitor costs, improve efficiencies, and provide accurate financial reporting that supports operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse factory cost reports and performance metrics
• Monitor production costs, labour costs, and manufacturing variances
• Support monthly management reporting and financial close processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning activities
• Analyse inventory movements and stock reconciliations
• Monitor bill of materials (BOMs) and standard costing models
• Partner with operational teams to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities
• Support capex reporting and manufacturing projects
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CIMA completed or in progress advantageous
• 3–8 years' experience in Factory Accounting, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or Management Accounting
• Strong exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, automotive, engineering, or industrial environments
• Experience with standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage with non-financial stakeholders
