Facility Supervisor

SUMMARY:

• Must come from Manufacturing (FMCG)
• Trade Test - Electrical or Millwright trade ess.
• Expert in Electrical systems: Refrigeration, Compressors, and Boilers.
• Must be able to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Must have experience in a Supervisory or team leader capacity. 

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Millwright or Electrician Trade Test certification required.
• 5 years’ of Electrical exp. after Trade:
  Refrigeration and electrical experience in a similar role.
• Boiler experience.
• 2 years’ supervisory experience is a MUST.
• Strong leadership skills required with managing suppliers, strong organisational skills, good knowledge of statutory requirements (OHS act).
• Overall understanding regarding building maintenance.

• Supervise and provide hands-on leadership to a team of Boiler Operators, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee and coordinate contractors onsite, including water treatment, electrical, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, municipal services, gas, compressors, and effluent management.
• Manage and monitor all aspects of facility infrastructure, including electrical reticulation, coal boilers and steam reticulation, effluent reticulation, water supply and reticulation, water treatment systems, generators, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, cooling towers, compressors, and compressed air reticulation.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the proper functioning of critical systems and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Respond promptly to facility emergencies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations and address any infrastructure-related issues.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the facility.
