Facilities Property Manager

SUMMARY:
Looking for a hands-on Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational management of the property, a sensitive wetland and located in an estuarine environment.

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a hands-on Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational management of the property, including security oversight, infrastructure oversight, maintenance coordination and contractor management.

Requirements:

• Experience in estate, facilities or property management
• Strong organisational and contractor management skills
• Practical, hands-on approach to operational management
• Good communication and reporting abilities
• Own transport

Duties:

You will oversee and supervise the maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of the estate''''s infrastructure and common areas, ensuring that the estate is maintained to a high operational and aesthetic standard.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the property
• Implement operation policies and decisions approved by the Board of Trustees
• Ensure efficient functioning of estate services and infrastructure
• Coordinate operational activities 
• Lead and supervise the estate maintenance team
• Plan and coordinate routine, preventative and corrective maintenance
• Ensure proper upkeep of common property, roads, access points and shared infrastructure, landscaping and public spaces
• Monitor maintenance standards and ensure work is completed efficiently
• Oversee estate security operations and access control systems
• Coordinate and supervise security service providers
• Ensure implementation of security procedures and protocols
• Monitor security reporting and incident management
• Support responsible management of the estate''''s environmentally sensitive wetland setting
• Monitor environmental risks such as flooding, erosion, and invasive vegetation
• Ensure maintenance activities and contractors comply with environmental requirements
• Supervise contractor performance and service delivery
• Ensure compliance with estate rules, environmental requirements and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with Municipal by-laws, Environmental regulations, Estate rules and policies
• Liaise with relevant authorities, service providers, and stakeholders where required
• Prepare regular operational reports, attend Board meetings when required
• Provide operational input into maintenance planning and budgeting
• Implement Board decisions and estate policies  
• Works within approved operational budgets and authority limits
